Description

Successful test, measurement and control engineering business are looking for an experienced Production Electrical Technician to support new contracts and growing our production team. Due to strong sales performance, TBG Solutions is looking to increase its Production team, which has been built around engineering bespoke test equipment for key industries. This new role is key to achieving its success in delivering high quality engineering solutions to some of the world’s most prestigious engineering businesses. This role will report directly to the Production Manager and forms a key part of the Production Team.

The successful candidate will be tasked with taking requirements from our Engineering Team and producing bespoke test solutions, to engineering drawings within time and cost constraints. This will involve the use of both consumer off the shelf (COTS) components as well as bespoke parts manufactured in our in-house tool-room. The role involves working as part of the production team to bring our designs to life. This important role will provide an opportunity to produce a wide range of bespoke products and test equipment which allows our customers to benefit from our high quality engineered solutions that are consistently delivered on time, in full. Candidates must have a history of success in similar roles, be self-motivated and have a passion for engineering and delivering projects on time.

Responsibilities

  • Support Systems Engineering team on Installation and Commissioning and test activities.
  • Produce products to the correct quality standards against the delivery schedule.
  • Report poor performance from deliveries/scrap/rework to Line Manager.
  • Producing products on time and in full (OTIF) to the required quality standard.
  • Accountable for the quality of every product and part produced.
  • Work to the provided documentation for all activities.
  • Follow the correct manufacturing process and controls for production.
  • Using change requests (ECR) and Internal Quality (NCR) when required and advise Line Manager of these, to support our Continuous Improvement (CI) process.
  • Report low levels of Consumable Stock to Supervisor.
  • Report of any faulty equipment or Health and Safety Concerns.
  • Follow organization standards.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment, equipment, and resources reporting any issues to Line Manager.
  • Follow established policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team effort, using skill sets and experience as required.

Experience Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working with control and instrumentation products.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working on bespoke systems.
  • Ability to work with and understand functionality of engineering drawings.
  • Solid ability to work to tight timescales to deliver projects on time.
  • Team player with drive to progress to senior level.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as part a team.
  • Motivation and a desire to contribute to a dynamic business.
  • Able to work within tight budget and timescales.
  • Able to self-manage to confidently achieve targets.
  • Able to work as part of a multi skilled production team.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Packages, mainly Excel and Outlook.
  • Sociable style with good drive and dedication.

Desirable Criteria

  • Test and automation background.
  • Previous experience of the aerospace and defence industry.
  • Proven track record of bespoke test equipment.
  • Basic mechanical understanding.
